Boundless Life Expands in Kamakura, adding a new EC for the Explorers for Our Growing Kamakura Community.
Boundless Life is growing in Kamakura. As demand for our historic, coastal Japan destination keeps climbing, and as we welcome our very first Trailblazer (ages 12–14) cohort this Fall, we're opening a brand-new Education Center built just for our youngest learners.

Introducing the Yuigahama Campus
Our new Explorer Education Center, the Yuigahama Campus, is located at 4-Chome-3-10 Yuigahama, Kamakura, Kanagawa 248-0017, Japan, just a five-minute walk from Kamakura Seaside Park and the beach. Our existing site, the Komachi Campus (Phil Park), continues to host our Pathfinder and Trailblazer classrooms, while the new Yuigahama Campus is purpose-built for Explorer classrooms (ages 1.5–5).
Why We're Expanding
This new campus solves Kamakura's biggest challenge to date: a lack of outdoor space for our youngest learners. It also creates room at the main site for our new Trailblazer program.
Facility Features
The new space is thoughtfully designed across multiple floors, with:
- An outdoor patio and terrace
- Child friendly toilets and showers
- A full commercial kitchen
- Private balconies
- A rooftop situated safely above tsunami levels
- Dedicated bicycle and scooter parking right out front
Classrooms & Age Groups
- Explorers, ages 1.5–3 and 4–5 → Yuigahama Campus (new Explorer EC)
- Pathfinders (ages 6–7, 8–9, 10–12) and Trailblazers (ages 12–14) → Komachi Campus (Phil Park)
A Seamless Two-Campus Experience
To keep drop-offs and pick-ups smooth across both locations, families benefit from:
- Drop-off window: 8:30–9:00 AM
- Pick-up window: 3:00–3:30 PM
- After-school activity pick-up window: 4:30–5:00 PM
- Explorer after-school activities (Arts & Crafts, Gymnastics) run at Yuigahama Campus; all other activities and shared community events, like Movie Nights, stay at Phil Park.
Find Your Way Around
Families can explore exactly where homes, the new campus, and local hosts sit in relation to one another using our interactive Kamakura map, a handy tool for choosing where to live close to the new EC.
