Our brand new base in Sanur, Bali has just opened and we couldn’t be more excited. This means a fantastic new Education Centre, dreamy coworking space, stunning family-ready homes, and plenty of experiences on offer that will allow families to live their very best Boundless lives in Bali.
None of this could happen without our local Dream Team though. Let’s meet some of them now, starting with our Operations Crew:
Tell me a little bit about yourself
Dyah: I was born and raised here in Bali with my two dogs and four cats. I love animals. I started out my career as a barista - so I can help our families find the best coffee in Sanur. I can’t wait to share my beautiful country with Boundless families.
Kirana: I come from neighbouring Jakarta, Indonesia. I studied for my Bachelor’s in International Tourism Management and I am now working on my Master’s in Creative Marketing. I now have nine years experience in hospitality and will draw on that to provide our community with a fantastic experience.
In my spare time I enjoy outdoor pursuits including diving, golf and hiking. Like our families, I love to experience new cultures - especially cuisine.
Mikhael: I was born and raised in Surabaya in Java, Indonesia. Before joining Boundless, I’ve had 15 years experience as an Event Organiser, 7 years as Assistant Manager & Head of Creative department and 8 years as Founder of my own Events company in Surabaya.
I studied Arts & Cinema in Jakarta’s Art Institute andI love everything pre-2000’s. I can talk all day long about music, movies, sports, arts and history.
What has been your most memorable Boundless moment so far?
Dyah: The Boundless Connections event when our first cohort opened. This was such a big moment and it was great to get to know our families better - and for them to get to know each other.
Kirana: Our beach trip was so much fun. I loved playing with the children and seeing them smiling and laughing.
Mikhael: I LOVED the first ever Welcome Event and flying kites with the kids at the beach.
What are you most looking forward to on the Summer Getaway calendar?
Dyah: It’s hard to pick just one, but I’d have to say the Tabanan Jungle Adventure. The rice fields, the view, the feeling of the place - I never get tired of it and can’t wait to share it with our families!
Kirana: I am really looking forward to our Farewell Event even though it will be sad to see our families leave. It’s going to be a big celebration of our time together and something really special.
Mikhael: Like Kirana said, I’m really excited about the Farewell Event. We don’t want to say goodbye, honest! We are just super excited about what we have planned 😉.
Why do you think families should come and spend the festive period with you this December?
Dyah: We have HUGE plans to make this Getaway cohort super special. All will be revealed soon. Some amazing memories are going to be made 😉.
Kirana: It's a time of joy, celebration, and creating lasting memories together. Sharing laughter, exchanging gifts, and indulging in delicious food can make the holiday season truly special. So, I encourage you to gather with those you cherish and embrace the festive spirit for a VERY memorable December celebration in beautiful Bali.
Mikhael: The island of the Gods is known for its diverse ecosystems, rich cultural heritage, and unique traditions. The rainier season can actually be the best time to visit Bali as it offers a host of unique activities and attractions. Be sure to visit the rice paddies and jungle to see the lush green vegetation. You can also take part in activities like yoga, Holy temple visits, and spa and wellness experiences to help you unwind at the end of a long year.
Rainy season can be perfect for Bali waterfall chasing, because the flows will be spectacular. DO go chasing waterfalls!! Finally, Bali will hold many music festivals during Christmas through to New Year.
